Accommodations
Don't miss the party!
Although we’re offering this as a day event, Camp Opemikon has gracious opened the entire camp to those attending the Scouter Expo!
Whether you’ve been here before and can’t wait to spend more time recalling your fond memories, or you’ve always wanted to see what it’s like to camp here… join us!
Plan your Stay
Choose your nights
Whether you’re only able to stay on Friday or Saturday night, or both, it’s your choice! We’re happy to be flexible, just indicate your preference on the registration form.
Bring your own food
Although we’ll be providing Saturday’s breakfast, lunch, and supper at the Expo, you’ll need to be self-sufficient for the rest of the weekend with your own meals and food prep.
Bring your gear
Make sure to bring your own camping gear, appropriate with the weather!
Indoor accomodations
Indoor accomodations will be provided to those that require it for medical reasons. Indoor sleeping arrangements are limited and are unlikely to be single occupancy (i.e. single room), but the organizers will follow normal Scouts Canada procedures related to indoor sleeping arrangements for those whose needs can be accommodated.
Parking
If you’re staying overnight, you’re welcome to park at the camp, although we do encourage you to carpool when possible.
Pricing
Regardless of how many nights you’re staying, we’re offering it for an additional $5 on top of the expo cost.
Water
Camp Opemikon’s wells provide great water, although it has high sodium in it. Water is available to refill at the Dining Hall, and Ablutions.
Where will we camp?
You have your choice of spots on the Brownsea and Clements fields! This will give you plenty of room, and close proximity to your vehicles.
Scouts Canada Campgrounds
There are so many amazing Scouts Canada properties around Voyageur, including Camp Opemikon!
How many do you know, and have you visited?
