About the Scouter Expo
We’re thrilled to announce the 2nd annual Voyageur Scouter Expo will be held on September 13th, 2027 at beautiful Camp Opemikon! Get ready for an exciting day filled with hands-on training, inspiring “Scouter Talks,” invaluable networking opportunities, and much more!
Plus, for those looking to fully immerse themselves in the Scouting spirit, there will be an option to camp overnight on Friday, September 12th and Saturday, September 13th.
What is the purpose of the expo?
We’re all volunteers.
That’s the first reason behind the Scouter Expo; we’re passionate people who dedicate our free time to help develop well-rounded youth, better prepared for success in the world.
Outside of our volunteering with our sections, groups, camps, etc., we have limited time available to us. It can also be confusing or intimidating when we look to expand our skills or knowledge, and many of us don’t get a chance to meet Scouters outside of our own group, and very rarely without youth we’re responsible for at an event!
Although this is the “Voyageur Scouter Expo” planned and run with the help of the council, many of the team members are just Scouters from groups in Voyageur who share a passion for supporting and enabling our fellow volunteers.
We view this as a weekend for any and all Scouters – whether adult or youth – to come and share their knowledge, meet new friends, and ask the next question… “What don’t I know, and where do I go?”
